Cleaner signal because you won't have to amplify it as much.
Not even that. The preamp stage of the amplifier makes sure that the level of the signal going to the output stage of the amp is within a certain range of voltages. Unless the preamp of the amplifier is junk, the difference between a nominal 2v signal and a nominal 5v signal is not even approaching audible and is likely not even measurable. The 5v signal is less susceptible to induced noise, but a decent set of signal cables make that moot as well. Real answer to the difference: marketing. People who don't know assume that more is better and then that myth is propagated by people who think they know how stuff works and use false information to justify their belief.

 
What pre-outs do you have?
