Both ABOUT the same price.Which is better SPL(i know premier is supposed to be a SPL sub). An which is a better SQL sub. An ive heard you can throw bout 800 watts at the type r or more but im just wondering how much can you throw at either one safely?

I heard a Premier setup today, 2 12"s, 3.5 @ 32hz and it sounded awesome, destroyed the lows. My Type-Rs had nothing on it compared to the lows, but then again, my box is 5.1 @ 40hz so I can't give you a great comparision. The Premiers had great lowend and the Rs had more impact, but that's probably due to the different boxes.

I'd say that they are about equal and the Premiers really impressed me with the output.

I've got my type R's in a box tuned to 34 and the lowend is amazing...shakes the entire car...

i went to a sound off comp about a month ago and some guy had 2 12's type R

and they were amazing. the box was ported, dont know at what freq but it was low and could be heard.

Depends on which Premier you're talking about, but if you mean the TS-w3004SPL (or TS-w3002SPL), they're violent and loud.

As far as the wattage question, the RMS on the 3004/2's is 1000 watts; They're little brother to the world-record breaking TS-w5000SPL's, (180db)

So, they can take a pretty good kick in the *** wattage wise. Peak @ 3000.

I've had both, well if your talking about the ts-w3004 premiers I have. I'd say they are pretty equal in both sq and spl by ear. The R is more efficent and in my experience plays a little lower.

I would go with the premiers... they are great.

But both are good subs.

I just bought a TS-w3002SPL and in the box I have it in 1.75 cf at 32hz I need to make a new one the port is two small and I have a lot of port nose but is is a lot beter then the 2 10" mtx thunder 6000 in a 2.5cf box at 35hz that I took out of the car if this helps eney

i was doing alot of research about this subject and it seems like you can't go wrong with either one but it also seems like for those who have heard both, they liked the way the TS sounded alittle bit better so i'm leaning towards the TS myself...

i'm doing a poll on the TS or the 16Ov2 right now if you guys can give me your inputs...

Thats the same size box I am looking at throwing a TS-W3002SPL in. What size port is needed and is 32hz where it should be tuned to? Anyone is open to answer.

Also, let me know how you like that sub in that size enclosure.
