ppi 88r dsp

****, forgot to add..
im getting 6 volts from the wire, but when i conected it to my amps i get 12 volt from it.

that i dont get, but it works.
wait what. so when you measure your remote out at a relay connect 85. you only get 6 volts but you when you connect it directly to the amps. you get 12 volts?

well i dont know. it will not turn on the relay.

i checked the wire at the dsp and it reads 6 volts..

so i said to myself lets see if it will turn the amps on, and it did.

so i checked the remote turn on terminal at the amp and it reads 12 volts..

ya i dont get it.

but it does turn my 4 amps on..

but becoes i dont like the 5 volts out im going to get a delay relay and be done with it.

as ppi just got back with me on fixing it....

$110 just to fix it. not including shipping both ways..

screwww that.

Better to just buy another one lol

i will be down the road..

well if i can ever get the money lol...

but for now its great...

there's only one thing i have not figured out yet..

my system is sound alot better but i cant get it loud..

im sure its something im not doing..

i have the h/u a flat, crossovers off/flat. any boost off.....

i can max the h/u out 62/62 and its just not loud like it was.

now the bass is nasty but not the front stage.

why are they charging you, its a fking factory defect.

Just check your input levels and set them accordingly on the software.

well because i got if from here...

the guy said it was new, and it looked new but i did not buy " new " ..

so no warranty for me...

ya im pissed....

its time for a better dsp...

wew lad,

maybe. but not sure 5 volts will turn a relay on.

never tried it.

but its ok, for now ill get a delay relay and be done with the remote output from it.

you can just do a dedicated remote run for the amps seperate from the dsp. If you experience no turn on pops then you should be good.

i would if i could.

i tried it.

the manual says the dsp must turn on before any other think.

thats one of the reasons the remote turn on from dsp has a 2 sec. delay.

when i tried it, the dsp was not controlling the amps.

thats why i need a delay relay. there only $15 and i can set the delay from 2 sec. to 3min.

before the dsp i had a relay on all my amps, so its already wired. ill just replace the regular relay for the delay one.

ok update..

just spent a little time adjusting everything... and wow i love it..

its loud a **** now and clear as can be.

very detailed ..

ill go into it again to fine tune but im very happy now.

i like it.

i can only imagine how good a nice dsp will be.

down the road i want a better one.

one with all 3 sets of inputs.

?

is there a device you guys recomend to convert a set of rca ( input ) to optic ( output ) ?

should i use the optic or the rca aux input for my tablet ?

does the optic sound better ? never used that connection before.

since when does the dsp need to turn on 2 seconds before any amp? what the hell lol i literally have all 3 of my amps and my dsp wired in parallel with my remote out from my headunit
