Powering 3 subs on a budget

well I just said 2k and 2 ohms, start lookin for that i honestly dont remember what amps are out there that do that most ones i know are 2k at 1 ohm. Sorry im not more help.

lol i know thats my point? jeesh figured they could extrapolate that did ya really have to tell em jeez

Edit: Actually that amp would be less than 1500 at 2.67 and over kill be cheaper to find an amp that isnt 1 ohm stable so older used amps.

There's not many that will give 2k @ 2 ohms, that's going to turn out to be a very expensive amp, which isn't what the guy wants.

Well thanks to Prowler773 (kudos) I found out I need an amp running at 1500W @ 4 Ohm to the able to power 3. What is a good amp at that power that is also good to your wallet? Should I get a mono, 2 channel, or muti? Thanks.
so i should go with a mono im guessin? another good budget amps?

honestly after looking at your set up. Are you runnign sealed or ported? cause if you sealed use that room you would put a third on it and have a ported box and just but a good 1k at 1 ohm amp, which will be much cheaper. Cause if your using the t400-2 to power the subs now your missing out on a lot, you'll notice a big diff with a 1k amp and a ported box. Plus way cheaper

And for both those that were posted by time it got to 2.67 ohm hes only pushing 700-800 ish watts,

ok but are you using the t400 to power them? cause if you are your only sending 400 watts total between then two, they need a 1k amp, thats 600 more watts you should notice a good amount of difference with just that

No offense unless you show a birthsheet you dont know that and if it is thats at 14.4 V which you wont be hitting, so your def. below that, thats why i recommend a 1k amp and more likely a 1200 one cause theres plenty of them and after all the voltage drops and such you still should get the 1k for your subs. But you can do what you want. For the price your going to spend buying an amp to push 3 of those subs plus buying that third sub you could buy 2 higher quality subs from here and an amp and sell your stuff and be way louder that 3 p3s.

But its all up to you

It did say that on the birthsheet but i accidently threw it away. And Im in love with my p3's, i dont know why. Ive been through 3 different subs and the p3's own all. Plus Im on a bidget and don't want spend anymore money on a whole new setup. Keep in mind Im in a ranger, so my subs are directly behind me which its pretty loud already, including my sub remote.

So I guess Im in a dilema of getting a 1000W amp to power the two better or getting a third and powering them all with like a 1600W amp. Which way?

I appreciate your help diminished BTW

ok personally how much room you got behind you? because remember if you end up having to go sealed when getting a third one you might as well just stick ported with an upgraded amp. Other thing is its much less taxing on your electrical system to run a 1k or 1.2k and use ALL the power or if you go the 3 sub, really to push subs fully rms you need a 2k amp that you won't even be using all of so taxing elecrical system more than you need. Also if you just upgrade to a 1.2k amp class d you prob won't put much more strain on your system than your t400 because its a class a/b so draws more current than class d's.

Plus with one amp you can find 1k-1.2k amps for anywere from 150 -300 dollars. With other route factor in price of new box (since 3 subs have to be custom built by you or someone else) If your not running 0/1 gauge wire you should or at least 2 gauge to run the higher amp, then the price of a third p3, and finally an amp that will cost you over 300 to push everything acurately?

Have you really factored in all those thing you need to upgrade and the performance gained by all that money versus just buy a 150-300 dollar amp and gaining at least twice the output, and i dont know if the box is a prefab or not but if it is a good custom one would make a big diff too and you would still be way cheaper.

Sorry that was really long
