Not much bigger than my RAZR cellphone and only 15w X 2 @ 4 Ohms.

I was just given a box of unwanted audio-related stuff from a friend and this was the first thing I drug out of the box.

Sometimes in its life the power wire went MIA from the supplied harness so I had to take the little guy apart to see which of the two pins that were unspoken for was for power and kinda 'redneck engineer' a temporary fix so that I could test it.

Surprisingly when considering its age and likely level of care previous to coming into my possession the little bugger works and plays fine! According to the manual (which Kenwood thankfully still has on their site) it will accept up to a 5v preamp signal. Can't say I know why they would bother as I would wager not too many HUs back then had that high of a voltage feeding out of their preamp outputs...

Additionally I don't know what you could even use this for excepting maybe a set of stand-alone tweeters since it is only a 30w RMS total amp...

Anyway - here's the little stowaway I'm talking about:

Anyone remember about what these retailed for when new?

I'm just curious.

Is it bridgable? would be great to run something efficient like a t-line //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

There are neither any specs given in the manual for bridged output nor a wiring diagram for the same so I would suggest probably not.

is it for sale? 10 dolla
In a word? No. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

shit, that would work great for a set of horns //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
You could certainly mount it just about anywhere - not too many places the little fella wouldn't fit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

If someone is using ribbon tweeters then this thing would work. . . ribbon tweeters require very LITTLE power.
Thanks for the info. I wasn't aware. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Pretty sad when you can hold an amp's entire board in one hand //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
