I wasn't pissed. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
I oftentimes hear other students try to validate their GPAs by saying..."Well, I have a social life" or "I contribute to the community" etc.
All those are great things. They provide valuable networking experience and sometimes (in my case) to learn the difference between textbook finance and Wall Street finance. Very important things.
But if GPA isn't that important to you, then why do you (not you specifically, but people) try to 'make up for it' by listing their other contributions. For instance, participating in on-campus events has always been the least of my priorities. I was a junior before I went into the student union building. I just didn't (and still don't) care about those things. But I never try to justify my not caring by saying, "well I spent my time in the classroom, at work, jacking off, etc". I don't try to justify my lack of partying in a similar fashion. Yeah, I am the jackass that sits in the computer lab on Friday nights working on building models while all the other kids are sleeping around or doing whatever people do at parties. I don't feel bad on what I let slide. You shouldn't feel you should have to justify your GPA if it isn't that important to you.
