Post your grades.

Unless you're a science or engineering major, you can't brag about good grades //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
Does financial engineering count? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

No.
Do they have to take physics? Chem? Statics and dynamics?
You an idiot then

Try doing this

Plus i have to take calc 1,2, and 3. Discrete math, and physics. Dont talk shit about stuff you dont know. I work very hard with what I do and I admit that my business courses are easy, but my CS degree I am working very hard and it will be a much more marketable skill than 2/3's of the degrees out there

It is great that you are super-involved. Just don't make that your excuse for your grades. I never said they were low. A 3.6 is low to my standards, but I make GPA my top priority, not community involvement.
There's more to education than grades, and it's important to take everything in that you can. Experience in student groups is more beneficial than getting a 4.0 over a 3.5.

I stopped reading when you called me an idiot.

Why are you laughing? Some University students, including myself, are super involved and have a lot of commitments. Personally, I have ASOSU Senate, Fraternity stuff, UGC council, volunteering at a local elementary school, as well as volunteering with the SMART program. I also work 20-25 hours a week, AND on top of that, take 15 credits a term as a biology major, with a minor in chem and a minor in spanish. Somehow I still manage to maintain a 3.6 GPA //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
So laugh all you want, but sometimes it's important to sacrifice an A in order to gain momentum elsewhere in your life.

Concord University, Best school in WV academically, and I have been told by many who transfered that CU is harder than VT, WVU, and many other larger schools
Im a triple major, Marketing, Management, and Computer information systems. I carry at least 18 hours a semester, am on a full academic scholarship and am an assistant to the Entrepreneurial studies program that takes up about 3-4 hours a week on top of classes
Well I am on the quarterly system which is considerably more difficult //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Last quarter I had 20 hour school weeks...
Usually ever class has two exams, sometimes three, on the 3/4th week of instruction and 6/7th week...its VERY fast paced...

Also not knocking your major, but its a different kind of hard. I'm sure you have a large workload, but my courses are just plain DIFFICULT. For example, last quarter I worked my *** off for chemistry (for engineers, the second and last thank God). I pulled all nighters for my midterms and final. Spent 10-15 hours a week AT LEAST on that class. Still ended up with a C. Class average on the tests was usually in the low 60s.

Cal Poly is basically a weeding out institution, many courses are designed as such. Many of my M.E. courses have a SET 50%(statics, which BTW is NOT statistics) or even 60% fail rate. So if your on the lower half, your S.O.L. Not to mention they just get worse....There is a reason why my major has an average GPA of 2..4 buddy...

So keep knocking me guys its cool, until you come here, take my courses, and manage a better GPA than me, just keep your negative comments to yourself. Although, they are wildly entertaining //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Cheers!

Those math classes are the reason I do not go to school for computers. I'm good @ math and whatnot but I don't have the drive to learn some of that sh*t.

That's why I'm in management. I'd rather tell people what to do and get paid more than the people that actually do it.

Right...but see much of my education does get put in a nice, neat category like "community service" or "SMART" programs, etc.

Most of it comes when a professor takes 2 or 3 of its better students and shows them the real ropes of stock trading, shows them the real math, shows them what's going on, takes them to luncheons with important members of governement, introduces them to contacts with the SEC.

But I don't get to categorize any of that. Not everything is so nice and neat. For students who show real dedication to what they are studying (not just getting an education, or learning about the subject), professors take them under their wing and get to do a whole lot more. Like sit in on a board meeting for a major variable annuity underwriter.

I didnt say yours was bad or didnt count. I got pissed b/c he said my grades didnt count, and by relation what i was doing was pointless, and in all reality my degree was worthless. Kinda pissed me off.

No.
Do they have to take physics? Chem? Statics and dynamics?

Nope...But we do have to take

Dendrology

Soils

Applied Aquatic and Terrestrial Ecology

Biology of Vertebrates

Forest Pest Management

Silviaculture

Taxonomy of Spermat.

Mammalogy

Orinthology

Wildlife Diseases

Wildlife Nutrition and Physiology

And numerous other forestry classes

And keep in mind some of the top forestry/wildlife science professors in the nation are teaching these classes..

Well, I guess you should have chosen a degree like engineering that pays less.

and compete in a job market that is already saturated. While I'm at it I should call up SJA and start my new line of speakers. Both make about as much sense //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
