But there is the downside risk of the A-, B-, etc.

There is no A+ where you get more than 4.0.

my friend's high school did the A+ thing and they got a 4.3 for a 98-100. i wish i had that, i would have had a higher GPA

i'm certain i would get a lot more -A, than i would get +B, so i'm thankful we dont have -A.

Do you know the mean grade and standard deviation for the class? Did they post it?

I got a 106% in American Government last semester. highest grade in three sections, but i havent figured out the standard deviation for the class.

Nope, just tracked my grade Blackboard, which is a sort of online way of checking our course progress and get homework for classes with teachers who utilize it.

Yeah..we have webCT.. sounds about the same.. some profs post the standard deviation on WebCT, but the American gov prof just posts his on his own website and doesnt give the cool stats.

maybe i'm just a huge nerd for wanting to calculate the z-score and see what the distribution looks like...thats probably it.
