Post pics of your TV on the wall

correct but thats wut there made for you dont need to buy the blue boxes and cut holes in the back of it,, these are ment as pass threws just like termanal cups that come on pre fab boxes

did you see my link,, go to best buy in person, and they have all the outlets you need for all thoes wires
I do not see the need to make 50 different connections when I can make a continuous run.

just remember to keep the 120v power wires on the opposite side of your low voltage cable/hdmi/ect cord...
Really? The power wire to the TV is close to my wires (HDMI, optical, etc. now without issue) This and the insulation issue is something I need to consider.

I see.

Good point on the insulation. Flip, is this going to be on an interior or exterior wall?
The wall is in between the living room and the garage.

those are just plates. you'll still need to mount a box in the drywall...
right

I think I have either I am suggesting something terribly wrong or I am miscommunicating.
1. Put the tv on the wall with a hole behind it.

2. Run the wires from the back of the TV straight down the wall aprox 4' to another hole about 12" from the floor.

3. The wires coming out from the hole will either go to my receiver, PS3, or the outlet on the wall, depending.
oh, i thought you wanted to raise your current power/cable outlets to the height of your tv...

well i guess all you need to do is mount a new box by the floor, put this cover on it (http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=261-153) like you linked first and pull all your wires down...

and the only time you should keep your 120v separate from your low voltage cables is when you're making taps (ie: bare copper stripped onto prongs/set screws ect.). plugs and wires are already insulated sufficiently...

the wires will go from the back of the tv down the wall connect to the back side of the plate, then you run a second set of wires from the front side of the plate to your t.v ps3 reciver,, then you just screw it to the wall yes its a few more wires, but its the most cleanest way you can make it

No, no. lol.

WHat I am really asking for is the "drywall" equivalent of a grommet.

It would have to be several plates....

I haven't seen one that includes the following

coaxial

HDMI

Optical

and then I still have to route the power cable.

you can't just mount a plate into drywall... you need to mount a box with "rabbit ears" then attach the plate to the box.
The rabbit ears can go essentially anywhere? How strong are they? I assume how the work is the flap squeezes the drywall as you tighten the screw?

Will cutting the back of it work?

I plan on using a tube to route the wires in between the boxes.

He is wanting to do just what you guys are thinking but I think the problem he is having is the plate he is going to be using to work with what he wants will not just screw into a "pop in box"

I say you go to a new neighborhood and walk in a house they are doing electrical work on and ask one of them when they get off to come do it and give them 50 bucks.. They will probably take material off of truck which will in turn save you money and come do it. We had that happen quite a few times. But being I didnt click on the links of the plates you want to use, I can help no further.

** that plate on the link above will work, just buy a blue pop in box, cut a hole in the top plate to run the wires down the wall, cut a hole in sheetrock for the pop in. Grab wire, stick wire in box, pop in the box, screw the screws to tighten er on and put on the plate.. Sounds simple? Oh and use a fishtape
