Post a picture of your mom

Probably exactly what your mom was thinking when you told her not to get a Jeep.
You're probably right, honestly

100,000 miles shouldn't be a big deal, my 80's f150 has over 180,000 and runs great and I paid $600 for it.
It's not a huge deal, but it's a bigger deal than it is for modern vehicles. My mom's Honda is at about 200k, and she's selling it to our neighbor's son because his Ford pickup broke down. True story

350= greatness 305= crap. The 305 is one of the worst v8's chevy ever made.
You talking against me or with me haha???

The 305 was a 5.0 engine.. Anything before 2000 had a 3.x or 5.7l engine.

The 5.7 was a full aluminum engine.

The 305 was put in a ton of 80's Camaros all the way until the early 90's I believe.

You can't really beat SBC for cheap horsepower. The SBF's are close though. I like American vehicles, mainly Ford and Chevy, yes that's right both of them haha because whatever one of those 2 the other tries to beat and gives us something else great. Without the Mustang vs Camaro battle those cars wouldn't be where they are today. We wouldn't have bone stock muscle cars that have 400+ horsepower and run 12 second 1/4's. Sorry I had to rant as I see a lot of hate vs. Ford in here and I just wanted to point out that without the competition Chevy would not have created some of the great vehicles they had. Likewise for Ford.

Mustang american made?

Try again... Most chevy/gmc are american or canadian made with mexican parts.

Thats the closest as american can get.

Chiming in to defend Ford. My F250 has ~265k miles on it and is still going strong. Granted I'm expecting it to die soon, but until then it continues on starting and driving every time. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The Mustang is assembled in the Flat Rock assembly plant in Michigan. As for the parts being made in other countries, most everything manufactured from an American company uses parts assembled or made in other countries. Are you saying Sundown, American Bass and Jl are not American companies because they use parts from overseas?

Audio and cars are two different subjects.

I dont argue non vehicle products as being american made as 99% of what is sold on shelf's or the internet is internationally made.

How is it any different? If all our vehicle parts were made in America, vehicles would be significantly more expensive. Do you think all Nissan's parts are made in Japan or all of Volkswagon's parts are made in Germany? Every big business does this, its how they keep things affordable and profitable.

The country/source that the actual conversation is made in.

99% car audio motors are made in asia so there is no chance of saying anything is made in america.

Atleast in vehicles we can prove that some companies try to produce near american.

Parts and material cost the same or near the same. The only cost effective choice for international is cheap labor in large productions.

Production can cost the same here in the united states of smaller production sites are used, but they will be playing a risky game of whether the product will get out fast enough to keep up with sales.

I disagree lol 96 gmc 305 230000 miles on and rode hard most of the time and never had a lick of trouble with her, But definatly not the power house the 350s were I had about four of those trucks too and didnt have uch trouble with them either,

Try a 1990 c1500 262 with about 200k on the dot (odometer stopped working when ****** went out) and still running strong only thing to go out was my ****** last december. Motor passes smog with flying colors and burns no oil, same amount every 3k when i change it, and no smoke on start up ir anything. Swapping a 350 eventually though after this audio overhaul im sure my little 6 will give me problems. These motors, 4.3,5.0, and 5.7 were meant to last, not to be fast
