Porting through rear deck in trunk car

i only said that cuz you said 6-8...wtf...anywayno...

35hz..naw son..

tune higher...if you want to strictly hit good on the meter..

cars are louder with subs back, port back..passenger side...

i would do 2 strong subs..in a good box..maybe with aero ports..

or..

even better..

do a crx style box with ports going into cab...for real good on the meter..

with of course..decent wattage.
My goal with my system is to hit hard and sound good, so do you think that I should have it tuned to like 45, I don't want the 60 hz that is mere spl, no SQ

well if your gonna go with it do it right..take out the rear deck..build the box..make the ports fire into the rear window...

and seal the box off from the rest of the trunk..
Our plan was the aero ports, making the ports fire into the rear window through the 6x9 holes or making the port the size of the 6x9 holes kind of like the kicker boxes

i like 40hz..
42 should be perfect for a SQL application
What kind of music do your listen to though, I listen to rap, rock, heavy metal, once is great while even country. Will that music sound good at 42 hz. The other Q is have you ever heard the GTi sub before.

Why mainstream subs, there are so much better for the money. Chances are you will not get all three of those subs unless they are 10's in a proper box for them. I have an older Pontiac grand prix, 2001 and space wise I am pretty sure my trunk is a tad larger and I could only get one 15 in there properly. To do it right you will need to seal off the trunk as stated above and maybe going for a single sub like a DD 9900 series on 5K should get you what you need. If you are that dedicated then buy a sawzall, you'll need one. Polo..

no no no no no no no...
cut your rear deck out!

build the box to the top of the rear deck..

and seal it off!!

simple.
So youre basically saying it would be far more effective to put the three subs in the decklid so that the subs and the ports were firing into the windshield like a hatcback. I think I would have plenty of room for that two, that would probably be the better alternative. My deck lid is like 42"W x 18"H, I take that back I went out and measured and the width is 47.5

I was talking to a guy that has a 99 Grand prix, Dom Irraggi and he said that he put three subs in his deck lid and the ports. My deck lid is huge man, 18 x 42 I think I can fit 3 twelves in there probably even three 15's if I wanted to. It would take some ingenuity but I think it could happen.

I think your could easily fit two if you switched to like 4 round ports. That square port is f&*&ing huge man
