ported or sealed box for type E's??

I am about to buy new subs and I jus want to know about the pros and cons of sealed box and ported boxes...I also need suggestions what box is best for either one type E or 2 and a would a 500 rms alpine amp good enough??

i had one type e as a first setup. they get loud but sound like poo and they cant get very low but all in all im sure you will be satisfied. they hold up really well and actually took some abuse.

but anyways i had it sealed and ported. sealed it was in 1.25cuft and was ok. ported was 1.25 at 38 and was very loud.

imo go 2.5 cuft at 32hz ported and then make sure you set your gains right on that alpine amp
