Ported. Not sure on box size, may want someone with a good program to find that out. Ask Jmac or Jellyfish. Tune that beast to around 35Hz, good to go.

I have had them sealed and ported. I would take the ported any day.

Ported. I did an install a year or so ago. 2 type r's around 5 cu ft tuned to 33 hz. Sounded great and got fairly loud.

Port them, I highly doubt you will lose much if any SQ from doing so. I would put them in a 2-2.5 cuft box, tuned to 32-35 hz.

I am doing the exact same set-up!! I just need the box . I am going with 1 cu ft. each sub. Sealed.
