ported and sealed enclosure

i want to build a sealed and a ported box....i need a .5 cu. ft. sealed box dimensions and the ported i need 1.15 cu. ft. enclosure w/ a 3" x 10.25" port....it would be greatly appreciated if someone could just give me the dimensions....but if not any info would be helpful!!!!

Is the .5 and 1.15 after subwoofer and port displacement? if not, that REALLY needs to be considered. The way to figure out what size box you need, take the volume (after adding in subwoofer displacement), and divide by the dimensions you have available.

Example:

.5 ft3 is needed

subwoofer displaces .08 ft3

.58 is total needed.

1728 (1cubic foot in cubic inches) * .58 = 1002.24 in3

lets assume you have 10" as your maximum height.

1002.24 / 10 = 100.224

lets assume again that 10" is your maximum width.

100.224 / 10 = 10.0224"

so yo have a 10 x 10 x 10.... basically a 10" cube. you can vary that by using 12" x whatever...

basically, i took the volume...in cubic inches, and divided off height, and width, and it gave me the depth of the box (internal dimensions), so the outside of the box would need to be 11.5" x 11.5" x 11.5"
