Popping 100 A fuses like candy

Yeah, im pretty sure i need a bigger fuse in my main line coming from my battery to my amp (obviously). I have i think 6 guage wire run the whole way with a 100A fuse in the main line about 2 feet from the battery. I am running a viper 2500d amp to a 18xxx in my dodge avenger with a stock alt. Yeah, i havnt even done the big 3 yet. Obviously i dont have the money to get any 1/0 wire yet nor do i have anywhere to run it from battery back to the amp. I read that your supose to match your fuse with the fuses in your amp. I have an audiobahn 800w mono rack amp that has (3) 40A fuses in it, so i would use a 120A fuse right? Okay heres the problem then.... i see no fuses on this **** amp. Shit, i dont even have controls over it except for what 1 switch for master and slave? Im mainly asking the people on the forum that use this amp this question. What fuse should i be running? What if i simply pop out the fuse and direct run my wire to my amp? I want to ask before i do it obviously cause i dont wanna fry anything. I blew the first fuse and it was the only one i had so i stuck a dime in the fuse's spot, taped it, and drove to walmart and bought 2 more for like 4 bucks. Obviously i wasnt gonna crank the volume when i had a dime as a fuse.... but shit 2 bucks a pop? i have one left. If i put my HU at 15 it will play for awhile, but after a couple minutes it just snaps the fuse. Help?

The only experience I have ever had with blowing a fuse that size was after rewiring a setup in my first car. The car would blow the fuse about every 15 minutes. Come to find out one of the power wires got stuck under the seat and when someone sat in it, it squeezed the wire and caused the seat to take a good amount of voltage. You may want to check all of your wires, make sure nothing is making contact with the car.

Hmm... well the main question was- how big of fuse should i use for the viper 2500d amp. Since unlike other amps it doesnt have fuses sticking out the side im lost. I did notice my fuseblock seemed a little loose..... but i blew 2 fuses with the car sitting still plugged into a wall charger... so its not like it moved around and all of a sudden hit metal. It cant just move by itself. Ill elec tape it tmrw and put my HU on 20 and see if it feels like snapped my last fuse. Any suggestions?

My friend had a 300 amp fuse for his viper 2500d, but I don't know if this is correct or not, the manual will tell you! Oh yes, get 0 gauge in there as soon as possible!

Im glad you know how to read...

I dont have the manual... and i cant seem to find it online (as if i searched real hard). Running 1/0 guage through my firewall would **** major ***... that and id have to do big 3, HO alt, new battery.... and the 1/0 of course isnt cheap. I just dont have the money for it to throw out. I dont care if its at full potential for now... i just want to stop busting fuses. Having a friend run 300 doesnt make me feel safe.... has he ever blown it? If so then ill use a 250 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

Okay now that i have really searched i still cant find a manual for this amp. Google sucks for this! Maybe im just too tired... ill check this out tomorrow around noon. Mainly looking for someone who runs this amp to see what fuse they are running.
