POP when turning car off

I looked through the threads but can't seem to find what I am looking for so I hope someone can help me with this.

I just installed a soundstream 1700 watt amp with 0 gage wire running to a block and then 4 gage going to a 5 farad cap then back to the amp.

When I turn off the stereo (or car) my subs have the loud popping sound like a big current or something goes through them. Is this caused by the ground? and if so then do I need to change my ground block to another location.

Thanks

from reading about caps in the other threads I will pull mine out to see if it makes a difference but I don't think that it will stop the pop when turning the stereo off

I have the amp grounded about 12 inches away on a block the only thing I can think of is that it is right next to the transmission and in the area of the parking break. Also because it is 0/1 gage wire I had to getto rig it by using a bunch of ring connectors. I really don't hink that makes any difference but I'll have to change it later. I'll put a pic of it up in a few to see if anyone can see something wrong

them are kinda BIG. Well anyway as you can see the amp is not very far away and it goes right to the ground block. I guess I can ground each individually to a seat post hole, but I have an amp under both front two seats and a cap also.

My remote turn on comes from the stereo power att/remote and it is split between both amps I do have it next to the ground and I can move it that should be easy.

Soundstream makes good amps i can't compalin there...unless mine is bad and thats why its popping //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

My Big 3 upgrade that I did a while ago...all 0/1 gage wire...still popping after that

I'll go ohm the thing out now...

00.3 ohms thats **** good for a ground

Well its more like a thumping than a popping, like an extra bass beat. just thought I would clear that up.

Do you think that it can be caused by a bad deck? I bought a Alpine CDA-9855 to see if that fixes it
