polyfill question!

I think you may have misread 3% as 30% //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
I didn't even catch that!!! this is true...30% would be one hell of some area to make up with polyfill right?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

^ but why not add some filler though ? It will definatly add some apparent volume and the more volume teh better !

(I wouldn't hold my breath on 30% + gains like a nutt tugger magazine writer might claim, tho)

There seems to be a lot of people who dont think its necessary to use polyfill. I dont know for sure how much it affects the box volume or the output, but polyfill has been used for years in most quality home speakers....

I.e. - I dont think it will hurt to use it.

I just built a box for my Arc Audio ARC12 (1.22 ft^3 sealed, with 1 lb. of polyfill) and it sounds fantastic! Now granted, I did not try the box without the poly, but I doubt it would sound any better without the poly.
