Question on changing p3 to jl6

The box the p3 is in is custom and was created off of RF website specs. My amp is a Alpine m1000. If I go buy a JLw6 and put in the box will it work ok due to the 1000 amp and box size? Will it sound way better?

give us external dimensions of your box and and then see what the JLw6 wants for enclosure size.. Why dont you do that actually, its on JL's website. And the airspace for your enclosure should be on the RF site.
