polk audio db1222 Vs. Alpine type R's

hey,

Im getting mixes reviews by people about these two sub systems, what do you think is better sub all around? forget prices, im looking for clean sound.....

2 Alpine Type R's (2ohm) in vented bassworx box

OR

Polk Audio db1222 complete box set up, (2, 12inch DB series subs and ported box)

db polks have very good sq , they wont get as loud as the R's but they do sound very good.

after rise your m1000 should run 2 of these just fine : DB1240DVC

I had a type R 10' for a little over a year and was never disappointed. The out put was exceptional for only have 300 watts ran to it. The 10' was by far better at responding to its upper frequencies than the lower ones.

Polk Audio would probably be much better on the sound quality just from what i have heard, but some volume output will be sacrificed.

for louder and better sq look at brutus , gpv , cvr , ect ( i am assuming you want low cost but good quality here ? )

ya see my problem is I live in canada, and if I was to order something from the states or over seas they charge me a huge dudy fee and tax.

we dont have anything good out here, only future shop and best buy. its ****ing lame

acually the new dual spaced spider brutus are an sql sub he wants loud with good sq

but the ID is definately a better SQ sub no doubt.
