Pole vent question

How much space needs to be between the pole vent and the back of the box? Im trying to fit a bigger sub into a shallow box.

take the area of the pole vent and devide it by the diameter.

I would leave at LEAST an inch or so of room (more if you can fit it) to get some airflow back there.

If you choke that off too much, there's a possibility you can heat up the coil too quickly/too often.

"Adequate" would be to leave an distance of half the diameter of the pole vent.

But it's better if you can leave atleast the diameter of the pole vent.

Squeak9798 has the same "minimum" rule that I use. 1/2 the diameter will work.
