Pioneer TS-W3004SPL vs AA Arsenal 12"

I'm looking at these two subs. SQL of course, and don't want to spend more than $200. I can get the Pioneer for $150 shipped @ discount jungle. or the Arsenal for $180 + shipping.

I also only have a 200w rms 600w peak amp to run it with. I just bought the amp and don't want to buy another one.

Which sub is better for:

1. SQ?

2. Low end?

3. SPL?

It will go in a sealed box as I'm trying to regain a little cargo room in my Jeep Cherokee.

thats very low power you have...possibly look for a sub with a fairly high sensitivity?...say image dynamics id,or idq?
I agree. I know from personal experience that you're gonna need quite a bit more than 200 wrms to get everything out the Arsenals. I have the Arsenal 12 and I auditioned it with a measly 160 watts from my old sub amp. It sounded very good and it hit fairly hard considering the power that I was throwing at it.

I eventually picked up a PG Octane 8:0.1 amp (600 watts rms at 2 ohms) and the Arsenal really came alive. Personally, I wouldn't throw anything less than 500 watts at the Arsenal.

Have you considered the Assassin?

why not try the assassin's?

they'll get decently loud off 200W (i ran them with a profile ap1000m, spec'd at 500W @ 2ohms, but they're over-rated).

and they will sound a LOT better than the pioneers you have now. i was going to get some of them used for really cheap, so i had them installed in my car for a couple weeks, but they were pretty terrible. i'm wayyyy happier with the assassins.

but if you're willing to spend a lot more amp down the road, maybe you can look to something higher end (but it probably won't amaze you until you get a better amp).

I just hooked up my Arsenal 12" to a friend's 900W 4 ch amp today, just wanted to test the sub while my amp is being repair. @ 2 ohm, i figure I was getting around 250W. I was supprised how good it sounded with minimal power. I am sure I will be happy when I have ~500W to it with my kicker amp.

It wouldn't be crazy loud or anything, but that's not what I am looking for. After listening to the Arsenal for bout 1/2hr with different type of music, I am happy with my decision considering the minimal space and power I wanted to use.
