Please help me, First Amp Install

Hey, I'm getting this Eclipse EA4100 amp:

http://www.eclipse-web.com/us/amp/ea4000.html

to power 2 JL audio CR690cxi's and 2 infinity reference speakers in my car.

I have a Panasonic headunit with 4 RCA channel outputs

I have no idea how to install an amp and I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to car audio...

...What kind of wires do I need to buy? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/titanic.gif.8089b7552c370bcc138aa121756d0c0b.gif

1) Head unit wiring harness and mounting kit

2) Two sets of stereo RCA cables from head unit to amps

3) One run of 8 gauge from front battery to near amps for power

4) 8 gauge inline fuse holder near front battery

5) 80A fuse for power wire fuse holder

6) 8 gauge ground wire from amp to chassis

7) 12 gauge remote wire from back of head unit to amps

8) 12 gauge speaker wire from amp to each speaker

9) Assorted crimp on connectors for power wire at battery and speaker wires

That is all I can think of for basic install. You might also want to do the Big 3, but with such a small amp, it is not necessary, but simply recommended.

dont get two sets, just get one set of 4ch RCA's, much easier.

You dont need the big 3 for that small setup I did send you a PM check your messages.
You must know what type of car this is being installed in and the size of his factory wiring.

I left my crystal ball at home today. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

But you do? Either way a system that includes 2 amps dose not automatically mean that he needs to do the big 3 he dose need 4 gauge wire though.
LOL //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I only see one 4 channel amp in his list there. And if you notice, I say this:

Did you read the part that says "not necessary"?

LOL true man true, but even as I was told go bigger just in case you are going to upgrade. So I would still go with 4 gauge.
Bigger is usually better. I would agree with that. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I was just telling him what he would require to have. Just like the Big 3 is optional, so is the 4 awg wire.

i agree do the big three now get it out of the way that way later WHEN HE UPGRADES BECAUSE HE WILL he has it all done and ready to go! also he should go with the 4awg to prepare for maybe some more amps in the future.

If you don't know what kind of wire to run, in all seriousness, you might want to rethink installing it by yourself. Get someone to help you.
I would usually agree with you here Buck, but with just one amp, I think it is a great place to start and learn how to do it himself. I think the guys trying to a 10kwrms system for the first time are the guys that I would push to an installer. This guy should be safe with the small amp install.

OP whatever you do, take your time and make sure you know what you are doing at each step. If it seems wrong, it might be. Take pictures as you go so you know what you did an where. That will help us help you if you need more advice.

Good luck! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif
