Mono amp no outputs, please help

hello, i put in this kicker key 500 along with a memphis subwoofer (not sure of model), was working perfectly for a week and now all of a sudden it wasnt working when i turned my car on, so i bought a new amp and i just tried that aswell, still nothing, im receiving voltage from the output using a DMM and yet still nothing, the mono amplifier turns on along with my 4 channel. sub doesnt move an inch almost as if theres a mute button on there. can anyone please help??

Did you unhook the sub from the amp and use the DMM to check the resistance at the sub / sub wire? Maybe it blew, maybe a wire came unhooked in the box, maybe it's fine, but a place to check.

If that isn't it, it's likely something on the input side / head unit setting. Hard to say without going over it all.

ive had people also tell me its the input side. but im getting good voltage from the output

also, the other sub i tested is out of the box, cant be a loose wire in the box

Do you mean output from the amp terminals or radio's RCAs?

im getting output from the amplifier, i forgot to mention it was installed and then stopped working for a week, no cut outs or nothing i woke up, got in my car, turned my music on and no subwoofer. my sub isnt blown, the voltage im getting is good, even crutchfield or kicker was stumped. the sub has continuinity, output voltage is 40 with a test tone.

At 4 Ohms that is 400 watts RMS; did you try different sub wiring?

That is an easy troubleshoot, but only if the car is in front of us. Here's what I would test:

1. Check radio to make sure the sub output was not turned off.
2. Test power and ground to the amp while the amp is on.
3. Unplug subwoofer control knob, if it has one.
4. Test subs to make sure they are not blown.
5. Test sub wires to make sure they are not grounded.
6. Test RCA inputs.
7. If all looks good, but still not working, I will take it out and put it on a test bench.
