Ok so this am takes 6 (s said, 6 not a typo) 40 amp fuses which adds up to 240 amps.
Now according to calculations .....
40x6+240amp
240 x 14.4v= 3456.00
3456 x .75 (efficiency)= 2592 watts??? Now i am not sure if that would be 2592 watts at 4 ohms or 1 ohm but still it appears this amp is underated or in the wrong class. pioneer claims it to be a CLASS D AMP (70-80% efficiency) but it looks like it is more like 50%.
WTH? I am looking for a 1600-2000 watt amp and this has got me confused.
