pioneer premier 770 or 860??

are they the same price? if so the 860. much more features. 13 band eq vs. 3, 3-way crossover network, time alignment, better sub controls and crossovers. also if you believe in the more volts is better hype, the 860 has 6.5 volts vs. 4 on the 770.

well some guy in the classified got a used 860 in mint condition for $250 shipped...ebay average price for the 770 is like $200 shipped...not too much in price difference..

i've been reading that the 860 has like 6.5v...and some people says that you have to see if your amp can handle that amount of voltage...is that true? i'm going to be running a phoenix gold x600.1 amp.

that doesn't mean it will put out a full 6.5 volts unclipped. i've run an eclipse 8 volt deck on amps not made to handle it and it worked fine. i personally would go for the 860.

my 860 broke today. **extreme sadness that no smilie can express**
You getting it fixed? if so how much? that is the only reason I'm questioning buying a used one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

i'm getting it fixed. what's ironic was there was a thread posted about the 960 vs. the 860 and i said get the 860 because the 960 has problems with the face not working. i get in my car today and the ****ing face won't open. i can still listen to the cd that's stuck in there, but what a ****ing kick in the nuts.

Mine did this as well, Disconnect the wire harness from the back, give it a few mins, plug er back in, and see if it works. It worked for me on the few occasions my 860 fu(ked up. I live on a dirt road, and I think that probably has something to do with it, plus all the bumps etc. Also there is a reset button on the face, dont remember where offhand, try pushing that with a pick or somthing of the like....
