Pioneer or Alpine?

I think I've narrowed it down to these 2, a Pioneer DEH-9300, or the Alpine CDA-7995? The Pioneer has a 13-band equalizer, but I hear people saying that the alpine hu's are awesome.

Comes down to which one you personally like better. Consider the following: ease of use, reliablility/durability, asthetics, is it functional, pre-out voltage, and anti-theft device.

Play with each unit and see which one meets your expectations Both are very good units.

also, i can't find a power rating for the alpine, does anybody know what it is? (i don't plan on using amps for the normal speaker for a while, i'm on a little bit of a budget)

My guess would be 20-22watts/channel RMS.

i think the alpine 7995 has no built in amp

the alpine 7995 has no internal amp, i belive you need the alpine 7987 or something like that. its the same thing as the 7995, only has an internal amp.

If youre thinking of the 7897, that is nothing like the 7995, its completely different.

alpine cda-7894, sorry, i confused myself, this is the unit you want if you want the mp3 capability of the 7995 but with an internal amp.

so, what i'm going to do instead, is get the 7995, and i'll find a 4 channel amp for the speakers. does anybody have any idea's for one? i was thinking a JBL P80.4 or an MTX Thunder4244? thanks in advance.

well, right now i've got what's in my signature, but i don't know what i'm going to do with them, whether i'm gonna go all one brand or what, i have yet to get over to my local car audio place and listen to some brands, specifically JL and MBQ. how are focal? also, one of my problems is that the factory speakers were 6", and i don't know many good companies that make 6". so what i'm pondering on doing is to cut the hole bigger and drill new holes so i can use 6.5", but it's under the door panel and i don't wanna cut a hole in the door panel and, arrrggggg, but i'll figure something out, in the meantime, maybe you can just give me some companies that make good 4 channel amps, and i'll look at them. thanks in advance.

I'd go with alpine. I owned one of 'em once **** NICE HU.

JL Audio, MTX, PPI, Phoenix Gold, JBL, Autotek, Zapco etc.
