Here is IMO the proper way to fix the problem with Pioneer headunit's and the troubles of installing multiple amps, witch in some cases will cause a ground loop...

the way i do it is oposite of how the other stick that was made on this topic.

Take #1

-the external RCA jack's plug.

-what i do is take 20 ga primery wire. strip back 1 1/2-2'' of the outter caseing, then wrap the wire around the outter part of the rca.

-then you basicly repeate the process till you have all ur jacks taken care of..

- i like to twist them for a cleaner look...

-then you can either add a ring terminal, or a male/female spade connector on the end.

like so..

i usually do spade connectors then run another ground wire off the back of the deck to hook into the spade..

- should look like this..

same thing with the rca's in the back of the deck.

OK! now what i like to do is ground the chassis of the deck. to the chassis of the car via the extra spade connectors i have hanging off the back of the deck..

i allso ground threw the wire harness, but like to make a stout ground to these pioneer's..

i have yet to have any, ANY noise after doing this..

i do a ground wire from vehicle chassis to those spades, to the back of the deck, then off to the rca's..

Not bad, I like the pics. If I were actually going to do something like this, I would have heat shrink the wire on then tech-flex for the better look.

this is just a general idea on how to do it... no need to one up me.. i can get this done in under 10min..

time is valuable to me so i have to do it fast. ( when installing and being that i am the only installer at my shop ). i never install and 2ch/4ch amp with a Pioneer deck without doing this...

now if i where to pull out the deck in my car... it looks allot better..
