Pioneer DEH9800bt Bluetooth Question

Hey guys. Quick question...specs first:

Car: Dodge Intrepid 2001

Stereo: Pioneer DEH-9800bt

My question is about the bluetooth feature. I've connected my cell phone (Samsung A737) and it works great. The problem I'm running into is though it connects to my phone just fine, when I make phone calls, nobody can hear me speak. I can hear them just fine, but for some reason my phone's mic just turns off or something and I can't respond. It's really frustrating to be on the cusp of such a cool feature, but not be able to fully use it. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you so much!

^^^^I had the external unit for a while and made that same mistake. I was talking through the phone.
