Has hp xover I need bad speakers distort with my techno bass cd's.. also would help with my fading to front speakers now I loose sub cause loc ran off rear speakers., of course would also allow Bluetooth and usb mp3 player etc.. also it has (unless I'm wrong) network time alignment for each speakers like my ht does amazing for $99.. is this the best under $129 with all these features? https://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_121753_Pioneer-DEH-X6900BT.html

I picked up one a couple months ago from Amazon for about $92 for my secondary vehicle.

It's a decent unit for the price. 2 volt preouts if that matters to you.

My only complaint is the thing feels really cheap. The Alpine 137 it replaced FELT much better. Buttons felt better in particular. But the 6900 sounds better (running door speakers off head unit power in the particular vehicle it's in).

Yeah that's what I'm trying to do.. I used to always use Panasonic and loved them they did run hot though, clarion was big back in the day at shop I used to work at.. all this hu stuff is new to me with over the top features,, I can go look at shop in town but I'm sure one would cost $350 installed instead of $175 online.. Did u use the hp xover on speakers?, wanta make sure it works good that's 80% of reason I need it

Yes I use the high pass crossover. Works fine. It does what pioneer says it does. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yes you can actually run proper tweeters and mids with the network mode. Just pair it with a 4 channel amp with a lot of power and mids like crescendo pwx and some silk dome tweeters and you should experience a whole new level of music you've never experienced before.

Just have people on here run you through it when you start tuning and setting things up because you dont have experience with this.

thanks man but I just spend 2 days (weekend) matting doors and installing soundqubed coax I have no plans to ever remove door speakers again.. my sq speakers sound really good until I put in my stupid bass cd's really not intended for speakers smaller than 10" anyway but man u should hear that cheap pioneer playing them.. just don't wanta blow my new speakers and have to replace them that's main reason I need the hu is to x them at 80hz without needing an amp.. I had all that in last car and it was great I miss my kickpanel comps but what I got will be great for me and most peeps I know if I can just keep lows out of speakers and fade 65% to front it'll be good.. + i'll also be getting better volts to rcas than factory wires (anyone know what volts factory hu speaker wire has)

then you dont need anything special aka you dont need network mode.

this is a much better unit for you then. Time alignment, 13 band EQ basic crossovers very simple sound tuning options, more power, 24 bit DAC, 4 volt pre-out, super strong signal vs the pioneer's 2 volt and 16 bit dac.

user friendly so even a super noob like you can get great sound quality with the sound engine tuning options it has.

pioneer is only if you do an actual front stage setup. For your setup which is just coaxials, that particular model of kenwood is overall vastly superior to fit your needs.

so the time alignment on pioneer won't work for just distance that I'm sitting from speaker like on my ht? ps any hu I get has to be at sonic so I get free dash kit and wires and crutchfield is too high.. https://www.sonicelectronix.com/cat_i10_single-din-car-stereos.html?category_id=10&Product_page=2&sort_order=price_asc&price_min=85.85&price_max=235.85&scrollTop=582 5800 looks like it has everything I need lower preamp volts only 2 of them but that's fine.. u think 6900 harder to set up?

Then get the kdc 500. its basically the same sh*t. Time alignment is time alignment. No difference i'm not even ragging on either's time alignment capabilities. BOTH have time alignment end of story. Main thing is you have no use for network mode on the pioneer since you dont do a proper front stage with dedicated mid and dedicated tweeter on a 4 channel amp so the pioneer is absolutely useless to you. Its not harder to setup its just not the right unit for you and your needs. The kenwood is far better to match you and your needs because of your super basic speaker setup end of story. The kenwood sound engine settings has sound realizer which boosts your low quality music files. There's stage height which actually brings the sound of the coaxials from your legs to your dash. there's stage width which widens the sound stage. You can easily set time alignment by setting the type of vehicle body you drive then set the size of speaker you are using and it auto does the time alignment pretty proper for you.

However I'd REALLY just buy your dash kit seperately and get the KDC x301 because the difference between the x500 and the x301 is the Digital audio convertor used. the x500 is a 16 bit D/A convertor which means pretty sh*t sound out of the box. The x301 is a 24 bit D/A convertor which means it sounds WAAAAAAAAY WAAAAAAAY FKING better out of the box compared to the pioneer 6900 and the kenwood x500 which uses 16 bit convertors. Like night and day, wet towel over speakers lifted difference. AKA build quality is much better which translate to audibly better sound. SERIOUSLY you can cheap out on everything else but DO NOT FKING MESS THIS UP. DO NOT CHEAP OUT ON THE HEAD UNIT. PLEASE THIS IS IMPORTANT.

crutchfield is not too high, its cheaper than sonic

https://www.crutchfield.com/p_113KDCX301/Kenwood-Excelon-KDC-X301.html?tp=5684

scratch and dent is 110$

I THREEPEAT DO NOT FKING CHEAP OUT ON THE HEAD UNIT like you do with everything else. IT WILL BE A MAJOR FK UP+
lol they about same price., I like easy the 5800 looks easy (saw video) but if the convertor is better that's a good thing I had kenwood before just didn't love it nothing wrong with it.. i'll look at it.. well after that it's hard to find., crutchfield has it $129 +$30 for kit they used to give kits free and sonic still does but they don't have 301.... had to pick the 1 that's hard to find didn't u?, I was trying to get the pioneer cause yall have said repeatly pioneer is better (just yesterday in fact)
