I'll acknowledge that fact as a valid counter argument. But the fact that this dude was such an inarguable scumbag as a human being that people insist on holding up high as some psuedo divine caricature of what he was just because he died is irritating to me.
Fame does not equal value. In fact it is in most situations the cause of a lack of value.
being a former houston resident i have personally been a fan since 1991 of UGK and seen these guys over the years not only volunteer, but give thousands of dollars to charity without any recognition whatsoever. In 2002 they held a private auction and donated $73K for Make A Wish. for what its worth they did their thing in their communities quietly and if anyone knows that shows more quality than a politician who does "charity" for show....i should know, i work at city hall and deal with ******* politicians all day long who take credit for events and donations like its going out of style.

If true, PWNT!

look man they may not be saints, but that type of background makes for a good dialogue starter with kids. Bun-B the other guy holds a backpack giveaway every year in houston for kids. bags, notebooks, pens, pencils...the kids get the works. before Bun was involved they collected about 1000 bags. after Bun was involved folks donated 3-4000 fully stocked bags.

i may stand corrected, but Guru from Boston holds similar events for kids in his area. Guru also donates a portion of his sales and production royalties to charity on certain projects. even Bostons dirtbag Benzino and Tang The Juice do the same. Many of these guys dont take credit for it because it is something that compells them to give back.

Trick Daddy from Florida is a ghetto *** lookin dude, but holds backpack drives, food drives, toy drives, and sponsors scholarships on a yearly basis.

Wow, sure does change things...
This is why a little thing called PREJUDGING is worthless...come on guys ( *cough OP) I thought we learn these things in elementary //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Bun B also hosts a school uniform event...David Banner donated $100K in concert monies to Katrina victims in Mississippi(black, white, brown...it didnt matter to him).

the list goes on and ...especially in the texas music scene

A) Honestly, I have a hardon for making trouble.
B) I have no problem with conjuring vicious hatred for people I don't know and channeling that into verbal vitriol.
don`t let that HATRED eat you up,not a good thing.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

73K, **** even a million, isn't worth shit compared to the evil they have done in the past. Selling drugs impacts the lives of the users- in a bad way. And if even one of his customers died because of him dealing, his death came too late, and he volunteered too little. Honestly, the only reasons scumbags like him that make it big volunteer or donate are:

1.) They want to help their loser friends who can't write rap survive.

2.) (Much less likely option) The shitsucker feels sorry and thinks he can buy his way off the path to hell he choose so many years ago.

Ahh shut the fuck up.

A true testimate to the stupidity and mindlessness these fools creating "beats" inspire. Were you to have given a valid counter argument or even a complete thought I would have been more profoundly impacted. However, you are, and did exactly, what was to be expected of you.

i sold dope and committed crime when i was coming up

now i work for a city councilwoman, hosts charity events for which i dont get any credit for the legwork, pursue educational efforts to help other kids who grew up like me, go to college, and volunteer at the bare minimum 300-400 hours a year for other organizations outside of work.

i have always done so. even when i was a knucklehead. if i have to do this for the rest of my life to repay the harm i did...then i am prepared to do so because the job satisfaction is more valuable than when i sold dope 10 years ago. i am 27 now

What a brilliant thread keep up the good work! I look forward to your next mind numbingly ignorant and hate infused rant about the recently deceased.
Amazing! I look forward to the same mind-numbing ignorance and hate when I listen to so called "hip-hop"
