Well, the deaths of some "famous" people affect the lives of others because they have brought them joy in some way or another.

I'll acknowledge that fact as a valid counter argument. But the fact that this dude was such an inarguable scumbag as a human being that people insist on holding up high as some psuedo divine caricature of what he was just because he died is irritating to me.

Fame does not equal value. In fact it is in most situations the cause of a lack of value.
