Awesome. I am getting excited......I actually know some competitors this year. SHould be a blast as always. also got a hotel directly across the street this time. no long walks for my fat ***. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

UPDATE:

no need for the recone, i had RE send me out thier special tensil lead wire and repaired leads with expoxy and sodder, had to sodder the connection a millimeter or 2 from the cone and glue that whole sodder job to the cone, just had to get the length right. Also, bought a hat from them and convinced them to throw in a hat, a few stickers and a bunch of brouchers since ive been a loyal customer for over a year now. they hooked it up!

and RE gets a one up. some ppl complain about not getting through to them on the phone, i ussually never have trouble, and guy on the phone (never can remember his name) is a good guy and knows his shit at RE

i would have soldered it to begin with, and threw some CA glue on there for good measure.

would have taken naught but 15 minutes.

and for future refrence. they will sell recone kits to anyone who asks. why not? they wont insure it if you do it wrong, more money for them.

but they might not give out shims. and you have to ask for the BLACK ca glue+accelerator (may have to pay a few $ for it) the recones come with the coil glued to the spider and the cone, and the surround is on. all you have to do is mount the shims in the center of the former and Tyoke, and glue the spider down to the landing, and the surround down to the landing, and then take the shims out and pop the dustcap on.

not too hard.
