but didnt the 15 need more than 2 sealed? maybe im thinking of the 18. i have not really looked it up for awhile...

just looked the default up in WINISD - the 2004 XXX15 says for a .707, 4.822cubes.

Well, the recommended sealed size (for SQ) on the xxx15 is 2 cubes, smaller than alot of people think. But Ive also read they like bigger sealed boxes than that. I really should get mine going so I can find out for myself. heh

edit: wow its showing almost 5 cubes for a .704 alignment on a 15? That seems wrong, that's bigger than even the recommended ported size (4cubes). I dunno tho.

I just played with winisd for a xxx15 for a minute. Yeah a 2ft box (recommended) is a bit ugly, but by 2.5 to 3 cubes its pretty close to as flat as at 4.8ft. *shrug*

You guys did notice the title of the thread right? 12"???

I just built a 2ft^3 tuned to 35hz with 36 square inches of port area and it is much louder than my 2ft^3 tuned to 29hz with 30 square inches of port area.

I noticed pretty much no SQ loss. Still plays relatively as low as the other one.

I recommend you try a box tuned to 35hzish with at least 36 inches of port area.

wow, some hjacked my thread about a 12 and turned it into a 15....

I'd like to try a 15" XXX, now that we are talking about it... I wonder what would hit louder in a SQL setup 6 12s each with a 1500D or 4 15s, each with a 1500D???

What did your friend use to get the uniform roll around the edges of the port? Looks very good for something "quickly whipped up". I've built worse taking my time to do so. HAHAHA!
