$1000 to spend....

Aight this is going to be my first system so nothing extreme. I want a good mix of sq and spl, but mainly spl. I have considered getting 2 12' L5's on a Kx1200.1, but its alot of money. Like i said its my first system how much do yall think i sould spend is, 1000 to much?.... any suggestions

Is the $1,000 just for a subwoofer and amplifier combo? If so, your options are wiiiiide open. There are quite a few companies I would take a look in to such as Ascendant Audio, Soundsplinter, RE, Adire, Diamond, Image Dynamics, TC Sounds, Oz Audio, Eclipse, JL, and that's all I can think of off the top of my head..

If you want a good mix of sq, and spl, then the kickers wouldnt be the best, as they are geared more towards spl. pg xenons would do you good, alpine type r, infinity, ect...

i would get alpine type r's but my friend has em n i dont wanna coppy him. n yes amp and sub combo. and also im looking for mainly spl buit i dont want them to sound like shit SoOoo... ne suggestions

JL is good for 1000 and ull get what u paid for ..RE is great also..kicker would be a no..the amps are god...alpine type-x subs sounds awesome as well

i think im gunna bring it down to around 800.. 1000 is just 2 much money for me to spend. I thaugh JL was good but you could get a lot better for the price b.c they cost so much...ne way ne other suggestions

I'd look into these if I were you. Not made for strictly SPL but they'll get loud and sound good. Get 2 and buy like a brutus amp. That will hit pretty hard.

2 - 15's at 1K watts a peice tuned to 25hz should be fine
