Do you think i should return the sub and the amp or what? The sub smells a bit in the mag. But has no noises and still hits if i turn the amp up to test it!

It still plays fine it doesnt stink any more just farted once but the amp is weird i have it all tuned right but it isnt loud at all! Like before it was very LOUD! Now with it tuned properly it isnt loud at all even full blast!

I'd send the amp back and try the sub on another system.

I dont get it though why would the amp be bad when it works it just doesnt make my sub loud and the only way to get it loud is to crank the voltage up to ACV 60ish!

what decible test tone are u using. some time ago i set my amp with a 0dB tone and when playin much the performace was brutal. get a -6dB test tone. keep the freq where it is, and readjust the gain with the multi meter to about 45 ACV . if the amp is puttin out the volts u need. its not the amp. and its not the sub. its just need to be tuned.

Ok this is what i did i went through all of my bass cds and i tested the voltage to every song and the higest one went to 24.00 ACV volts so i tweaked the gain and put the freq on 60ish hz and the gain i turned it up will the highest it hits is 43.2 is that cool! The bass didnt soudn right when i tuned it to 50hz then i would play a mix i have and i wouldnt sound loud now she is loud and the highest she goes when the volume is on 30/35 is 43ACV! So if i get a new mix i will just retest it.. How does that sound can i do this and now havea problem as long as they all stay under low 40s????

Its a TCAB box made by spkrman and even though it plays fine now should i send it back because the sub stinks and the amp went on prot a few times?

Where is the subsonic filter set?

Subsonice is on no filter for it on the HU everything is off the amp bass it on flat and the amp freq is on low the sub control 0 bass 0 everything else on amp freq is 60-70hz the gain 1/4 of the way up tuned to 42.4 ACV with the 50hz test eq off on amp its ok loud with the 50hz test tone then i put a mix in not loud at all....
