Pics of my set-up..

I like when people make a big deal about Alpine going to Best Buy...when they were with Circuit City for quite a few years...

Alpine has always made good products, especially considering that they are one of the bigger mainstream brands- go into a few big box shops and look at the radio selections- Alpine, Pioneer, JVC, Sony, Kenwood, etc...Alpine is going to be one of the better products available.

I fully agree, just cuz it's mainstream and it's sold at BB or CC dosn't mean they don't make good products. Don't forget that they do also make the F#1 Status that is some killer stuff, just costs a lot.

Also just cuz I didn't like the sound of the XXX means I'm "clueless" then whatever. Everyone has their own tastes. You won't ever have to hear/sit in my car so what does it matter to anyone.

is that bandpass or ported? is that enclosure made by alpine or did you do it yourself? and how much power are you sending to the subs? are each sub hooked up to one of those alpine amps?
It's ported at the end (near the back seat) on each side. It's also tunned to a really good setting. (Not sure what exactly).

The enclosure is made by someone who makes cutom boxes for a living. He also took the time to tune it properly. (I wouldn't have done that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif )

The 2 amps are powering the 2 subs. So, 1 amp powers 1 sub. I am getting another amp this week for the front a rear speakers (75w X 4).

Glad to see I have a fairly good set-up. It's all warrantied, so I can crank it up all I want too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Amps: 3 Year(s) warranty

Subs: 1 Year(s) warranty

Speakers: 1 Year(s) warranty

Deck: 3 Year(s) warranty

yeah i have heard them- i have a friend that works at hifi buys and i've listened to them in a tahoe and a gti. i thought theywere loud as hell but not clean-good for spl
Must of been a really crappy install because those things are pure SQL and they sound amazing!

Well if your running RF...am gonna have to say stick with the Alpine
Yeah, RF sucks doesn't it. I would have a decent sub... but they were stolen a while back and haven't had a chance to rebuild my setup. I had a set of W6s when they first came out, but since family life made a change from 2 door to 4 door and precious trunk space... I've got to go smaller selection. The RF, blown or not, will hit the trash when I have money to buy a good sub.
