no pole vent? wtf is that?

do they vent on the side of the basket above the motor thru the ittle holes ive seen before?

lookin good tho. scratched up the base already though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

now take lots of pictures when ya install them.

Expy..heh, funny thing is. I live in Plano!

Vosschs, my other MT was like that as well. Every one Ive seen comes like that.

Ill be powering them with 2 modded Visonik 4000's. They are going into a quad cab Dodge Ram, in the 'back seat'.

some friends and i got the privilege of blowing up an MT 18 not too long ago. it took a wall socket like a champ...hell it even took a wall socket per coil for a while in an enclosure. only thing that killed it was one of the single windings that comes off the coil that attaches to the tensil lead burnt up...melted right through the former

Its amazing how many people on these forums say they have blown up new $400+ subs with wall sockets. Every time someone posts a story like that, I think are they lying or do they just have more money than brains? Which is it sixth? j/k //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wave.gif.002382ce7d7c19757ab945cc69819de1.gif

MT's have never had a pole vent. None that Ive ever seen anyway. The way I understand it, its becaue of the tight gap for the coil. These subs are meant for short burps, vented pole pieces can be lived without. It doesn't seem to hurt these monsters' cooling capabilities much. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

im not too familar with those 18's but why is the inner cone part where it says RE shiny? looks like it was re glued in or something? or they could come like that i dont know.
thats how they come, the middle part is called the dustcap, it's glue to the rest of the cone
