Requirements:

$300-500 market price not retail

100wrms or more

6.5"

Good midbass that will be able to have potential in the stock hole

ANY BRAND GOES! I have been looking at RE audio components as of right now if anyone has input on them or pricing.

CDT HC62's...

Drop them in properly deadened poors (see thread on this site)...throw about 200rms per side...and be happy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I thought DLS Iridiums were like $700+???

I like my DA Hex's alot, but if I were to buy now I would look for something with a bit stronger mid and definatly go silk tweet. Though after tweaking the aluminum tweet sounds **** good.

You like them?

I was VERY disappointed with them...especially for a $600 retail set. (Granted I didn't get them for that much...but I was still disappointed.) They were lacking in the mid-bass range...and I was giving them around 200rms per side //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

that is my only complaint is that they do lack in midbass output. however they will take alot of power and get loud and stay clean and crisp.

I do like them, but am already researching my next set of comps after only 1 year with them. on a scale of 1-10, a 7.5.

I had used a set of Morel Integra coaxs in my truck for several months, have not heard the Dotechs.

Morels are very natural and smooth sounding; "crisp" is not a term that comes to mind when I think of Morels. The best description that I've heard is that they are "polite".

There are several members who love the Morel sound, it comes down to a matter of taste. In my case, I changed to a set that I felt had a "livlier" sound, something closer to my home system which has ribbon tweeters.

A member on this forum sells the 6.2 Iridiums for $475 shipped. I'm not sure what the retail price is but mine are on the way oh yea....
