Pick my Sub & Amp

Hello,

Newbie here wanting some good advice for a subwoofer, box, amp setup.

I'm not looking for an earth shattering setup, just something that will deliver clean bass to fill the gap. Also nothing to underpowered because I'll have some days where I'll want to crank up the bass. The size of box is important because I use the hatch frequently. Also If you have any links where to buy these items at, that would be great.

Looking For

- Budget $375 or less

- Amp (reliable that won't overheat)

- Single 10" or 12"

- Small box (Need space in back)

- What type of wires to buy? gauge?

get some MTX 12" 5500's or 7500's and a rockford T500bd or a T1000bd. pioneer deck. = awsome Sound. get the bass knobs too for the amp. port the box/boxs though. ~ 2 cubes each sub @ 36 HZ is what they reccomend i believe.

look through classifeds section on the forum for a sub and amp....look into type r's and amp wise...look around..post them on here...and we can give u our opinion...build ur own box = less $$...knuknoceptz for wire..or find sum on here...lol...size?? dependent on amp u will get...total should be pretty darn close to $350 or so

This is what I've come up with. Tell me what you think.

Kicker 400.1 Amp

Kicker cvr 10" or AQ sdc2.5 10"

Sealed 1 Cubic ft. box

I really like the CVR's for a budget sub, I would personally probably go that route, R's are nice too but I really like the sound of my buddies 10" CVR, hes got it on a 300.1 and could probably use a little more power, the 400.1 sounds perfect IMO

12" Kicker CVX.

Hifonics has an 800w mono amp.

Both can be had off ebay for around 300.

Best part is CVXs work wonders in sealed enclosures. Sealed enclosures are cheap and small so you have full use of your hatch.
