Phoenix Gold RSD's... BELIEVE THE HYPE!!!

If the depth of those speakers is too much for her car you may want to look into some alpine comps. How much depth do you have to work with?
I'm not sure yet. It's a PT Cruiser but she just gave me the okay today to put a small system in it. Are the type r comps decent as well?

I'm riding along on the boner bus with these too. I have to say that they do sound GREAT. Only giving them about 80 RMS right now but tomorrow I shall bridge it.

I'm hoping someone has used the automatic setup on the RF Symmetry EPX2 and can help me with gain setting. My amp's gain is at 0 (tru 4.65) but I configure the symmetry with 0db test tones to clipping and then take it one under clipping. Should I just set it up and then run a DMM to make sure that I am not over the power of the speakers?

I'm looking for 130rms per channel. So what would the magic number on the DMM be?

Sorry to dump but I figured it had to do with it.

I agree with you. It's kinda silly to expect them to compare to sets that cost 5 times as much. I've never had a set of components before, so they'll probably sound great to me.
I have no doubt they will satisfy. With proper care taken install wise. After all most agree install is the most important thing.

For 130 watts RMS you would want to see 22.8 on the DMM

i agree. it's mostly about the install and tuning. with enough time and tuning i don't see why most cheaper speakers couldn't sound fantastic. if you have a good enough EQ why not.

Awww... I wanted to feel special and tell him... lol
What kind of sound track do you use for tuning speakers?
Thanks for the info //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

What do you mean what sound track?

+1 billion for the rsd's..lol. But seriously, I have a set and couldn't be happier. Are they the best out there...no. But I don't feel you could get much better quality for under 250 with any other brand. I have a 07 jeep Cherokee. I have the 6.5" comps in the front doors and 6.5 rsd coaxial's in the rear doors fed off a kicker zx650.4 They each are getting about 120 watts. I also have deadened all the doors. They have very nice highs once you tune the system a bit and the mid bass on the comps is pure ***...especially for the price tag. I'm tempted to order another set or two for future use just in case I can no longer order them. PG really did their homework on these. Ive had a few mid-level set of cdt's in the past and these beat them in every aspect..especially mid bass output. But then again..opinion's are like assholes...everybody has one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
