phase setting on amp?

Im gonna thread jack

On my directed 1100d, there's a switch that goes to slave, then master. The master side of the switch has 2 modes, 0 and 180. I know that's the phase. But there is also another phase switch in the amp. Should both of them be at 0 or 180? im confused to what happens if i put the master switch on 0 then the phase switch on 180.

they can be strapped, which you probably know is the reason for slave and master. i would guess that one is for adjusting both amps when strapping.
