The phase box is not the same as a transmission line or a horn... at least that's what Pete and Tuan claim.

In the last 100 years or so, pretty much every box alignment that's possible has been tried...by somebody. Bose took transmission lines and made a ton of money with it. I'm not disagreeing with you but at the same time, I don't know enough about their design to make any claims.

A "phase" box is simply a vented enclosure with a port large and long enough for the 1/4 wave resonance of the port it's self to have an impact on the response, you can model them with horn design software.

I'm open minded about it. I'm not going to try to say what it is and what it isn't because I don't know enough about it. Neither do any of you because I don't think any of us have any experience with it. If they get the patent on it and explain more of the theory, then I might have something to say. Until then, I'll keep making my own enclosures using theories that are well known.
