ok so me and my buddy got the rsds installed today and it all songs pretty gopod besides the tweeter being a lil harsh any suggestion on that situation.

also there is a switch inside the cross over that says +2 db and then you can switch it over to nothing... right now it is on +2db thats how it came. i wanted to know what that is exactly for and which would be better for it to be switched on.

thanks

try them on the other setting if you think they are harsh.
where are the tweeters mounted? how much power are going to the set? have an eq?
120 is going to the set. i have a 7 band eq on my cd player with the adjustments of

50,125,315,800,2k,5k,12.5k

and they are mounted on the pillar with the seatbelt.

i imagine they are too close but thats where they are at for right now

the tweeters are mounted on the pillar by the seat belt? so they are right next to your ears?

120 to the set meaning 60 per side?

yes and yes thats just a temp location for them right now i have to do something different before i move them...

do you think that is just the problem they are to close. because i also went from a crappy component set a long time ago to a coaxial back to a decent component set i think i also have some stuff to get use to too.

Of course they sound harsh. They're right next to your ear. The further away they are, the less harsh they will sound, and the better they will blend with your midrange (assuming the midrange is at a reasonable distance as well).

i guess all head/earphones are harsh, too
