who gives a **** what it says? All planet amp bench tests i have seen are above the 'max' rating at under 13v

my old planet put put 1286@12.9v that was a couple years ago (p1250d model)

there wouldnt be no rms at 1 ohm cuz at 1 ohm the amp is putting out as much as it can...thankyou.....

smokealot, um, you smoke too much.

the amp obviously has a root mean squared power rating at 1 ohm if it is putting out any power at all. unless you are saying it randomly puts out different wattages everytime you use it, from 1 to eleventy billion watts. even then you could average a rms out of it.

PA, although good for the money ussually, is not up there with higher end brands that are not affraid to lists an amps max rms....... in order to sell that PA they list a majic # that that can under the right conditions can put out. but even the best amps in the world dont always put out full power due to inefficency. that amp more or less would put out 1000w rm at 1 ohm... but to sell it better they rate it's max at 1250w....... get the picture

I guess i need to look for some mroe bench tests, and see what i can figured out. I just like the idea of getting that much power for $150.

they are worth it. Bottom line is they put out rated power and it's not at 14.4v bullshit it's right down there in the 12.xx range
