over rms

Are you referring to running your Sub with 200w more power than recommended? If so, what sub?
no im talking about running my amp 250 watts over rms just so i can hit the rms of the subs will 200 watts over rms hurt my amp

LOL

Your amplifier gives out a set power at a set ohm load at a set voltage rating.

Assuming your electrical system gives you 14.4v, the power acoustik amp will put out 760 watts at 2ohms.

Your subs are 250w RMS a piece, that means they will get 380 per sub, because of the amp. The subs RMS is just a power handling, if you have too much power, subs blow, not amps(generally) :)

ok ok ok im not talking about the subs im talking about the amp my subs are 500 watts rms 1500 max not 250 the subs are the last thing on my mind i know they can handel the power i just want to know if i set my gain to 31.0 which is 1000 watts instead of 27.0 which i about 750 watts which is my amps rms and i want to set it to 31.0 what do you think?

Where are you getting your gain numbers at? 31. and 27., where are they coming from? Your amp will give you 760 watts of power at 14.4 v, that's all you're getting. If you turn your gain up too much, you're going to fry shit. The gain is not bass booster
