Well i just got a DUI this weekend. Yea i know, shitty. But the cool thing is is that im 17. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the charges. What i should expacting to pay, community service, exc.

I got a DWI and reckless driving when I was 17. I had to pay $925 in fines and court costs. I had to go to DWI school. That cost $150. I was on probation for 18 months at $45 a month for the probation fees and MONTHLY DRUG TESTS. It cost $150 to have my license reinstated. I went to jail for 24 hours. That totals up to be $2035. I blew a .26 when I was pulled over and a .28 at the jail. I was very drunk.

Most ppl say they take it easy on minors but I think they pwned me on that one. I haven't driven drunk since!

They may just take your license and fine you like 500. Judge could throw the book at you to scare you though. Traffic school counseling, Community service, etc. you may even have to show him your grades too..........lol. Sux to be you. I would be surprised to see you get anything less than the fine and the no license till after 18.

my friend jordan got one at 16. he had to pay fines and go to classes/got suspended for six months, but claimed he HAD to work and drive himself, so he had to pay another 450 bucks for a special Breathalyzer before starting the car system that would disable ignition and keep records if he ever did fail the test and try to start his car.

Here in Ontario, they have a zero tolerance policy for new drivers, no alcohol, if you have any in your system whether its one beer hours ago or not, its a DUI and you get charged.
