You couldn't give me a set of Infinity Kappa speakers to use in my vehicle again. In addition to the tweeters being ear piercing harsh, the overall response of the 6x8s was underwhelming for something advertised as the "premium" consumer line. The only reason I kept the Kappa 6x8s is for future use in the event that I sell, trade, or crash the car.

go with the jbl speakers instead of the infinity yes i know they are made buy the same company but the jbls sound better and are not as harsh as the kappas and go with the mbquart amps

The Kappa's are out for sure.

So it's now either the Alpine SPR-17S, JBL P650c, or what about the Cadence ZRS6K's? I know Cadence make decent Home Audio speakers, just not sure about their automotive lines.

As for amp's I came across the Hifonics ZXi60.4 + 1K. And it's tempting since I wouldn't have to mess with wiring 2 amps etc and cheaper as a result. I can only find 1 review on it though. With that I could step up to the Alpine SWX-1243D.

In case I do decide to go with separate amps I've already got a suggestion for Alpine amps however which MB Quart Amps should I pick?

Soundstream RF 60-c are good speakers. can find them for under $200 a set.

Dirus your possibilities are nearly endless there all kinds of options out there for you in the price range.

Speakers: alpine or hertz IMO

The hifonics amps are good power but leave a large footprint and aren't the best sq.

I would make a WTB amp thread here on ca.com you will get a way better deal on a way better amp compared to buying from online.
