Optimal Battery Setup

Hello Folks,

Long time member first time poster here. Just got a new job, gonna have some money soon so I am gonna build a little system in my escort.

Here is what I am planning on doing. A dual battery setup (main battery for normal electronics upfront) and one in the trunk for the amps. Gonna be using some heavy duty wiring for the setup. Now how would be the better way to do this? Since I have the battery almost right there, just run the +/- from the battery too the amp, or would still grounding to the body be the way to go? Probley won't start building for a few weeks, but I want to get some plans.

Have some more critical things to take care of (like those bald tires before winter comes) and a block heater.

To the best of my knowledge, unless you run power from the front battery to the back, the back battery will have no method of charging...unless you manually charged it every couple of days

man you where about to get some bad advice dude

i just saved your system

woot

I was actually thinging of building a trickle charger in because I am going to be installing a block heater soon, so it will charge every night; so with the 120v there why not charge the battery too?
