oppinion inquiry on new system (2nd try)

The guy that owns the shop where I bought my sub has a TDX 15" on a D61500.1 in the trunk of an Audi A6.

Come down to Bayou Country and have a listen and tell him that his gear has no SQ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hilarious.gif.02a037aad04aa96f19982b298a3d70a8.gif

i respect u'r oppinion, but as of now, i just dissagree......i have heard many 15's, and from talking to the dealers around here, they say that they are for SPL.....my point is that if u can get bass that is just as acurate out of (1) 15" as (2) 10", there is more cone area (more air being moved +more bass) using the 15's......then why would anyone buy dual 10"s, yet that is a very comon set-up........ i am very subjective to other oppinions, but u if there is sumthing that i am unaware of, i wish u would explain to me how it works, instead of just saying "you're wrong"......

I vote
Three XXX 15's

And that guy's Autotek 300.1 or that 400.1 American Bass amp that's for sell on the forums

That would be, wow.

And SQ would suprise you, actually, according to everything I've read.

You definitely DO NOT want to run the 400.1 unless you have an electrical system capable of handling 600amps of current draw!!!! Haha.

what boxes where those 15's in? im guessing boxes built for SPL.

the box determines basically how loud, and how good the subwoofer will sound.

edit: people buy dual 10's for space issues pretty much.

Easy, space reasons.

Think about it, it's easier to get the proper amount of space required for smaller drivers, as the bigger drivers would require twice, maybe 3, or 4 times as much space. Also cheaper.

i bet he'd shit hisself if he saw a setup with the ED EU-700 woofers

i don't understand how dual 10's would help space restrictions.... two tens, side by side in a box would usually be at least 23" wide BTW the link above "page not found" eror

some people cant fit 16+" of height in thier vehicle... so they go long and short way.

its a PDF....

some people dont have room for anything other than 10s , i dont have room to put anything bigger than a 10, but i work with the space i do have, us standard cab truck guys have no other option other than a walkthru or blow thru, you'd be pretty impressed if you've heard some single 10inch setups and dual 10inch as well.

and i've also seen single 8inch setups...yes thats right single 8inch setups that dont sound to bad

i know single 10 can be impressive, especially in such small space.....infact i waz told by an RF rep last week that "15" subs sound louder, but when put on a meter the 10" will often be louder"......this kinda confused me too ...so many oppinions/options, w/ so lil time : (
