Opinions? What do you guys think?

I am starting to put together a system to put into an Explorer. Right now I plan on installing an Alpine Type R 1242 12" 2 ohm sub. A Diamond Audio D5 1200.1 Amp. And a JVC KD-HDR1 Head Unit. I am not sure about the components, wiring, box, etc. The listed items are all I own at the moment. Please give any/all input about what your opinions on what I currently have and any suggestions on what to get to finish it out.

knu konceptz has some good prices on wire, you can pick up ur power wire and the rca's from them for fairly cheap

ill vouch for knu konceptz as well, good wire for good prices. what is your price range on components? i would plan on running them on an external amp as well.

I would be willing to spend prob. 200$ or so and that's not including the price for an amp. Any good ideas on some comps and an amp?

i would honestly look in to alpine type r components, i saw them for $146 i think. i had a set a couple years back and really liked them. pioneer premiers are a solid choice as well. if i were you i would go to a local shop and listen to a few sets because everyone's preference is different.
